I'm a fourth year student at Northern Michigan University majoring in Entertainment and Sports Promotion (form of PR) with a minor in Marketing, and Photography. Let this show you my interests...
I’m not the type of person who comes up with these stereotypical and socially inclined New Year’s resolutions every year as it is beginning, I am trying to better myself everyday and not just for a year. Just the idea of making a resolution at New Years and not each and everyday to better yourself is so cliche to me.
I of course wanted to make something of the new year though, and that’s when i came up with this idea to watch a different movie everyday (yea, that was a dumb plan) and write a blog specifically about my experiences. Well I have decided that is almost impossible to even keep up with while trying to be a full time student, while also working. So today I have decided to start it up, and do it at my leisure and not everyday. These posts may come sporadically at first, but I’m sure as I get more involved in this experiment a schedule may start to form.
I’m doing this for my own personally worth as an attempt to better my writing skills as a future professional in the public relations field. I want this to be something that will better me as a writer in a unique way that interests me, as opposed to writing the same things in class that don’t truly project my unique writing style in way that I can show my own creativity and almost personify the writing I produce.
If this would be something of interest to anyone who enjoys movies or the random ramblings of a college student, please give me your imput and ideas on different movies to watch. I need to stem away from the corporate Hollywood norm and into the uniqueness of underground or independent films.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you can come back to enjoy what I have to say about my first “New Movie” experience.
